During our duty to prevent ritualistic hunting during Falharini Kali Puja 2026 on 14.05.2026 near Radhamohanpur Railway Station, our President, Mr. Kaushik Makhal, along with other dedicated volunteers and officials from the Kharagpur Forest Department, successfully apprehended a person carrying hunting equipment intended for Wildlife hunting activities. Before any harm could be done, we managed to stop the individual, and the Forest Department seized all the weapons and materials that were going to be used for hunting. This successful operation reflects our collective commitment to protecting wildlife and preventing illegal hunting practices. We sincerely thank all volunteers and Forest Department officials for their courage, vigilance, and cooperation.

We recently received a distressing call about a child marriage that took place on 25.06.2025 under Belur PS area, where both the boy and girl were minors. Thanks to the prompt action, the WBCPCR and Child Marriage Prohibition Officer, Howrah rescued the children and produced them before CWC Howrah. The girl's mother revealed that the marriage was forced by local goons, and she didn't consent to it. We helped her file an FIR under Section 11 of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006 on 11.10.2025. However, the situation took a grave turn when we discovered the girl was pregnant and the accused were still at large. We escalated the matter to the Member Secretary, SLSA, W.B. and the Chairperson, CWC, Howrah leading to the investigation officer adding POCSO charges. The girl underwent abortion. At Kona Anubhuti Foundation, we're working tirelessly to stop child marriages and protect our children's rights.
